preserving memories with artifact uprising

Becoming a mom has made me anxious about capturing and storing memories. Like... when I think about it for too long, I end up on a google-searchathon at 2am, trying to find the best cloud-based photo storage system (I can thank pregnancy-insomnia for that one). But digital storage aside, nothing beats a beautiful photobook you can cherish and look back on, for years to come. After taking our Fresh 48 and Newborn photos, I knew exactly how I wanted to compile my favorite images -- in an Artifact Uprising photo album.

We hired Francesca Marchese to capture Alice's first couple weeks of life. I love her photography style, using natural light and making the photo session feel like an intimate glimpse into these fragile and private moments as a new family of four.

I went with one of Artifact Uprising's layflat photo albums. They are super easy to make through their AU Editor (think drag and drop into professional pre designed layouts). The ultra-thick pages and fabric covers that come in 12 beautiful colors set these books apart from others on the market. Add a foil-stamped title on the cover and spine, and you've got yourself the ideal coffee table book.

So now, no matter how many times I back-up my external hard drive, I will still have these precious moments saved in an easily accessible keepsake I can break out at a moments notice (to embarrass a future-Alice in front of future-boyfriends). Artifact Uprising was kind enough to offer a 10% off discount code to my followers so you can order your own! Use GARDNER10 (good until September 24, 2019).
